There is no widely accepted evidence to support that material composition affects TSS risk, however studies have shown that risk may increase with heavier absorbency products. We strongly recommend that you follow the FDA guidelines for tampon usage and never use the same tampon for more than 8 hours, and always use the lightest absorbency necessary.

The applicator is made of two tubes, with the tampon inside. Twist the cardboard applicator before use to loosen it. To use a cardboard applicator tampon, position the applicator with the rounded end facing your vagina. Insert the tip of the applicator into your vaginal opening until the outer tube is almost completely inserted. Then, push the inner tube until the tampon is fully deployed from the applicator. Remove the applicator and dispose of it. Remember to use the lightest absorbency possible and change your tampon at least every 8 hours.
