TSS is an illness caused by a bacterial toxin, and symptoms vary depending on the underlying cause. TSS has been tied to tampon usage, but is also caused by a variety of other things. There is no widely accepted evidence to support that material composition affects TSS risk, however studies have shown that risk may increase with heavier absorbency products. We strongly recommend that you follow the FDA guidelines for tampon usage and never use the same tampon for more than 8 hours, and always use the lightest absorbency necessary.
Nope! We made sure that our pads are ultra thin and absorbent. TOP offers two types of organic cotton pads: day pads and night pads. Day pads are perfect for medium flows. Night pads are great for heavier flows and overnight protection, as they’re a bit longer and wider than day pads
